Exploring leadership on the Environmental Leadership Programme
As well as nature connection, the Environmental Leadership Programme focuses on gaining important leadership skills and expanding understanding of what leadership means and looks like today.
Through online skills sessions, we'll explore the scope of modern leadership, from our political and societal leaders to those who gain influence and lead in other, less conventional ways.
We'll dicuss how privilege and identity play a role in elevating certain people to positions of power and what role we have in ensuring leadership is something everyone can aspire to, including creating a culture of belonging in both the workplace and our communities.
At key in-person sessions, we'll look at local power, engaging with local decision makers who are shaping the environmental progress of the West Midlands, and give you the opportunity to ask your own questions and find out more.
Following this, we'll continue the conversation by looking at national power during a trip to the Houses of Parliament. By engaging with Members of Parliament, we'll gain a better understanding of how decisions get made at the top level and what role we can have in ensuring our voices, and those of our communities, are heard.

Leadership is explored alongside other important element of the programme, nature connection, which we bring to life through the creation of Nature Connection Campaigns.
