Our Environmental Leadership Programme 2 (ELP2) is a FREE 9-month-long programme for 18–25 year olds based in the West Midlands. Get connected with people and nature in your local community and help tackle environmental issues in your area with a group of like minded people!
There are no interviews, marking and no essays. You will join a community of young people and will be connected to an encouraging network of volunteers, green leaders, experts, employers, tutors and mentors. Through a mixture of online and face to face events, you will learn about nature connectedness and why it matters right now, and how you can leverage it to drive meaningful pro-environmental change through the creation and delivery of a Nature Connection Campaign.
We pride ourselves on welcoming everyone to our programme. We look at every application individually in order to ensure that we’re providing support where it’s most needed and everyone taking part in the programme has their own Participant Support officer
ELP2 is a powered by Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts and Shropshire Wildlife Trust and funded by The National Lottery Community Action Fund.
Whilst on the programme, young people will have access to help and expertise and will be given full support to help them achieve their goals for the programme. We have worked with organisations such as Greenpeace, Oxfam, Friends of the Earth, Environment Agency and EcoBirmingham. among many others.
You will join a growing community of alumni, a network of volunteers and speakers, and your fellow programme members, all working towards meaningful change!
